Current understanding of marijuana

Our current understanding of marijuana are that it is no more harm than tobacco, and it gives rise to the medical relieves. Firstly, it is also no more addictive than alcohol and tobaccos, although it is considered to be a gateway towards other drugs such as cocaine. Secondly, in fact, in America 13 states allow marijuana for the medical use. Shown in the picture below. These are the facts that we know.
I’m Earl Henslin, the child counselor with the Christian counseling group Henslin and Associates in Brea, California Firstly, I think there are two points of view about marijuana. One is that of all the illicit drugs, and of all the intoxicants including alcohol, marijuana is probably the least dangerous on a number of dimensions. The other viewpoint is that marijuana is the illicit drug most likely to be used by juveniles, and that it is a much more dangerous drug than many people believe. It also can be the gateway drugs. Meaning it will be the entrance to some other drugs like cocaine. I would like to say that this issue is not good for these reasons.
1.Long-term marijuana use leads to structural changes in the brain. One study showed marijuana users was inversely correlated with cumulative exposure to the drug in the left, but not in the right, hemisphere of the brain.

2.The adverse effects of smoked marijuana on the respiratory system are outweighing the potential benefits. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50 to 70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tobacco smoke.

3.some potentially serious side effects were noted, including an increased heart rate and a decrease in blood pressure in studies using smoked marijuana
